Project Description
Hoda is a motivation and behaviour change expert, with over 13 years of research and knowledge translation experience in the health, social marketing, and collective action contexts. Her extensive training in mixed-methods research has equipped her with the expertise to design and consult on research plans and program planning, and to effectively translate research into practice.
As a research and academic advisor in Canada’s top faculty of education, she advises hundreds of graduate students on best research practices and clear and effective writing and public speaking. In her role as Health Promotion Specialist with Kingston Gets Active, she secured the highly competitive Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant, giving KGA $250,000 to develop, implement, and evaluate their programming across three years.
She is also a seasoned public speaker, having presented dozens of research, motivational, and educational talks to diverse audiences, like scholars, government and university staff, students and medical trainees, and general audiences. Her writings have been published in peer-reviewed journals, encyclopedias, and popular digital publications including the Encyclopedia on Diversity, Social Justice, and Democracy and Communication Research.
